Where to begin? How about with my near death experience.
My ears have been blocked for about a week, when the other night I was driving to work and they decided to un-block. Well, all the fluid that was keeping my balance in check left the tubes and air rushed in and I got the Vertigo. I couldn't see straight, things got blurry and dark and I almost went off the road. My right tire was on the gravel of 441 and my left was in the ditch. It was a bit intense. After 15 seconds or so, everything seemed to calm down enough for me to make it to work. But I don't think I ever want that to happen again. Ever.
Dr. Al has referred me to another allergist. Maybe the third time of allergy testing is the charm.
I was sitting here thinking the other day about what a good roommate I make (shut the piehole TT.) I mean, the other day I got a shitload of work done around the house (and successfully avoided my paper, thank you very much), but when I looked back at what exactly some of things that I had done were, I decided that maybe I'm not the best housemate. So here is a list of why I might not make the best roommate:
1. It wasn't until Wednesday that I finally got the outside Christmas tree lights and wreath down.
2. Currently, I am listening to "The Roger Whittaker Christmas Album", while entertaining thoughts of taking down the downstairs Christmas tree.
3. I literally need an entire room of the house to display my bright, plastic PEZ dispensers.
4. 68 degrees is a touch on the warm side and therefore all the ceiling fans in the house need to be on.
5. I need a bigger tv in the living room. (Now this isn't bad because: 1. the one that is there looks really small in the entertainment center and 2. it's old enough that i had to buy an adapter for the DVD player. Now it is bad because I also really want to move that one downstairs so I can have a better tv to play my N64 on. That's the real reason).
6. In my mind, the longer the dishes soak, the better. And I have a dishwasher.
7. I thought that I was too old for a blacklight, but I found my one for college the other day, and it turns out that I am not too old.
8. If I could, I would watch all 4 hours of Buffy and all 6 hours of M*A*S*H* on the FX.
9. I like wine. Now that in itself isn't bad. But here's the thing, I have to have a full, or almost full wine rack (24 bottles), yet I tend to drink out of the fancy box in the refrigerator.
10. Dusting, schmusting.
There it is. Don't judge me too harsh. You know what they say about biting the hand that make your drinks.
Oh, and another thing in the plus column. I am having dinner with my wife's school at Prime Quarter tonight. Nothing like planning a social event at a steak house, on a Friday, in the midst of Lent. Oh well. I'm Episcopal. Bring on the beef! *shaking fist* "BRING IT!"
