It's my day off. What does that mean for you? Nothing, really. But for me, it means that I haven't showered yet, and may not until after returning from the Y.
It also means that I have to finish hanging the outside lights (another 7 strands or so) and replace the two lightbulbs that are currently out and mock me each time I see them. I swear to God they mock me! And as long as we're on the subject of hanging lights, if anyone has seen my remote controlled outlets, please let me know, so I can stop digging around in the basement.
In other event news, we went to see the John Berry Christmas concert at the Opera House last night, and it helped put me more into a Christmas spirit. There were some lessons learned though.
1. You can not expect to eat at the Chalice (and I do mean eat) and not expect to have a little discomfort afterwards.
2. ANY attempt to take pictures at the show will result in a platinum blonde usher-ette scurrying over and telling you in no uncertain terms that your camera will be confiscated if those types of schinanigans continue.
3. Groups of ladies in red hats.... It eludes me. If you belong to such a group, gang if you will, I'm not sure that red hats and purple coats are the way to go. You certainly go out en masse in such attire. My mom had been invited to join a similar group, and I am now thinking about a family intervention.
Enough with you, the mocking bulbs must be dealt with.
