I’m not 100% sure where to begin, as it has been roughly a month since my last post, and sadly little has happened in my life that might be noteworthy, but let’s give it a go.
First, deer hunting has come and gone for me again this year. How did I do? At least I don’t have to clean anything this year… Just like last year… That’s right. For those of you keeping track, I believe I am now 0-9. I’m the fucking Susan Lucci of deer hunting. There was a chance this year. I had the gun up and poised, and I picked the doe that I was going to shoot. The scope rested beautifully upon the great beast (just behind the shoulder, right below the back), and I was all set to commune with nature, and kill part of it. As I gently exhaled and pulled back upon the trigger, I heard it. Click. That’s right. My gun misfired. And as I fucked around with it, trying to manually eject a shell from an automatic weapon, I watched the deer look at me, turn and bounded endlessly into the North woods. Bitch. But I drank some beer, ate a lot of cheese, and had a bed again this year. Overall, thumbs up.
Second, I got a new cubicle at work. That doesn’t mean much except now I have a flat screen monitor. That and I sit near people I don’t like nearly as much, and now I get more done during the day. Huh. Who would have thought that by moving me away from people that I like to talk to, I would become more productive. There’s a lesson in there somewhere, I just haven’t found it yet.
Third, every time I go online, and this person hasn’t updated, I die a little bit inside. Luckily I’m fat and there is plenty of me to die off.
I don’t really have a fourth other than to say that Thanksgiving is almost here, and that means that it’s time to break out the sweatpants. The menu we are planning this year is just obscene. Not that should really surprise any of you that have been to one of our parties, and no, none of you are invited for Thanksgiving.
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday coming up. And, I hope you all had as much fun reading this post as I did creating it. Though probably not nearly as much fun as being able to compare myself to Susan Lucci.
