It was my dad's birthday the other day, and while I remembered it with presents, I did forget to post a happy birthday message. I feel bad about that, even though I don't think he really reads this. But he does deserve a nice message with all the respect in the world. So here it is:
"Happy Birthday Old Man."
In other news, I feel like I'm growing up/have grown up a lot lately. There are a couple reasons for the latest feeling of "adulthood".
1. We're finishing off the basement, and we're finishing it off with expensive toys. 2. We have matching furniture. And by matching, I don't mean the "Early American-Ugly" collection. 3. I am becoming anal-retentive about oil changes in my new car. 4. Sometimes I watch Fraiser instead of Family Guy. 5. Even I thought the season premier of South Park was a little inappropriate. 6. I value a nap more and more in the afternoon when I don't work.
And then, when I think I'm getting too grown-up, I remind myself that this last weekend I went to the grocery store at 9 am, and bought a gallon of chocolate milk, 4 donuts, and a case of beer.
