So it's almost my birthday and precious few of you have asked me what I want. Please don't incur my wrath. I think we all know that it doesn't end well for anyone. If you need ideas people, all you have to do is ask.

That being said, currently it is just a tick over 97 days away until Christmas. Excited? I think so. The current weather conditions, and the fact that many of the leaves are already changing color do not help the situation. 97 days. You should have the following things ready:

1. Roger Whittaker CD in the player and ready to go. It should be cued to Momma Mary (#7 on "The Roger Whittaker Christmas Album"), but if it isn't cued to that song, I'll let it go...as long as the CD is in the player. Other Christmas CD's should be ready in case you want a change, but I recommend starting with that one.

2. You should have detailed plans and arguments for tree-shopping day. It is important to start planning early if you're going to come home with anything worthwhile. You all remember the old saying: "A small tree means that you hate Christmas, and that makes the Baby Jesus cry...on His birthday." Why would you want to make a baby cry on his birthday? You big jerks.

3. There is a new Christmas PEZ to add to your collection. Mrs. Claus will come out later this year.

4. By now you should have watched at least 3 Christmas movies. I know what you're saying, "CGM, three seems like a lot." Don't worry, I'm counting National Lampoons Christmas Vacation as one of the movies, so that only leaves two. If you're going to narrow the realm to Claymation, than I suggest "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Rudolph". In a pinch, "A Year Without a Santa Claus" will do, but let's keep that as a last resort. If you're willing to dip into the animation series, I would recommend "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" or "A Wish for Wings That Work".
*Note that I left "A Nightmare Before Christmas" off the list. I did so only because that should be in your year-round rotation.
*Note that all of the aforementioned movies should be in your year-round rotation, but I'll take what I can get with you slackers.

I think that should take care of your Christmas-To-Do-List at this point. Let me know if you have any questions.

And on a different note, anyone who hasn't seen the Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner should, if only to see Betty White say "Cockring". That my friends is Must See TV.
